This archive can only be used for private study, scholarship, or research. We do not publish guitar chords that have been taken from songbooks, magazines, or any other published material. Figuring out chords to a song by listening to it is okay as long as the musicians involved are credited. This archive is legal as long as you use it for personal use. All songs are our own interpretations and we are not responsible for any of the chords. The copyright law of the United States (Title 17, United States Code) governs the making of photocopies or other reproductions of copyrighted material. Under certain conditions specified in the law, libraries and archives are authorized to furnish a photocopy or other reproduction. These files include appropriate author/copyright information. However, we were unsuccessful in finding this information for every single song (that's a lot of stuff! ;) ), so if you recognize a song for which we don't have info (or see one that's just plain wrong), and know who it's by (most importantly) and even its copyright info, puh-leeze let us know (see contact e-mail address below)!! Also, if you notice some wrong chords or it just doesn’t sound right, let us know, too!

The songs are in alphabetical order, with a file for each letter of the alphabet. The date next to the file is the last update date for that file - come back to this page periodically (and refresh if necessary) to see if there's anything new since the last time you saw it... :)

What's been updated?

16Jul03 I now have some cool Finnish songs up! Some are English songs that have been translated into Finnish, and some are original Finnish songs. Try ‘em out! :) I’ve only included A4 versions for obvious reasons, but if there’s ever a need for them in letter-size paper, let me know! ;) Since I currently have so few, they’re all in the same file (not separated by letter as the English songs), but when I get more (and trust me, there are lots!), I’ll figure it out later… :) For those who want to know, I’ve also included a document w/ the English translation of the originally-Finnish songs (didn’t bother w/ the translated-from-English ones – the gist is the same :) ) – maybe you can learn Finnish this way! :)

3Apr03 I’ve noticed a need for Text-Only versions of the music (for worship leading, transparencies, etc), so I’ve added text-only versions of every file in the 2^nd column. For my European friends here (I’ve moved to Finland!), I’ve also added the files for A4 paper! Never thought that would be a need until now… :) I’ve also included text-only versions for the A4 folk as well.

ALSO, I’m aware that many of you are still getting the “T,” etc instead of the sharps and flats in the music – PLEASE download this really small font file (see note from 6/29/00 below) – it’s really easy to do, and makes the music look so much better!! Hint hint… ;)

25May02 By popular demand, I'm gonna try offering the entire set in a downloadable zip file (including the index and the font file allowing you to see sharps and flats - see note on 6/29/00 (below) regarding where to put it). Updating it will be more of a hassle, so let me know if you want me to keep it! :)

8Aug00 We now have audio (in mp3 format) for some of the "newer" (to this site) songs!! Those of you who know me probably know I'm pretty anal about learning (and teaching) songs "correctly" (true to its original form), so this way we can all get it right!! ;) Go to the Updates page and if there's an asterisk (*) next to the song in the "Audio" column, then click on the title and you should be able to download the file (you might need to right-click the link to actually save it to your computer). Check back often as I'll have more stuff as we go along. Be sure to reload the page/frame in case your browser saves the page... Have fun! :)

29Jun00 All Docs have now been updated w/ the flats and sharps imbedded into the file. If you see a "T" or anything else other than a flat or sharp where there's supposed to be one, just click on the following zipped true type font file, save the link onto your desktop, and extract the .ttf file into your Fonts folder (typically c:\windows\fonts), go to the file there and double-click it to open it, close it, and all should be well! :)
